Unit description:

This unit focuses on the vocabulary and terminology commonly used to address members of the LGBTQ2S+ community. We will discover identities we all hold, the differences between sex assigned at birth and gender identity, romantic and sexual orientation, and gender expression. 

By the end of this unit, you will be able to:

• use the terminology presented correctly
• understand which identity category applies to which label
• identify the common ways heteronormativity, cisnormativity, and intersectionality affect our communities
